Hello, there! I’m a Brooklyn-based journalist, editor, copy editor, and professor. My main focus is on film and entertainment, and I’ve also covered trending stories, news, politics, travel, technology, and more.

I’ve been the film editor at Metro US, a nights and weekends writer/editor at Uproxx, and a film critic at Philadelphia Weekly. My writing has appeared in Vulture, The Village Voice, The Guardian, Filmmaker Magazine, Polygon, Nashville Scene, The AV Club, and NBC.

I’m also a freelance copy editor who’s worked on dissertations and screenplays.

On top of that, I’m a professor who teaches film and television at New York University.

When I’m not busy working, I’m at the movies, riding through NYC on my trusty bicycle, scouring for under-the-radar food or hanging with cats.
